Land Safety Check 2026

The 5-Step Land Safety Check (2026 Edition)

Before you pay any advance, complete these 5 digital verifications on the Meebhoomi portal.

Step 1: Check 1-B for Legal Ownership

The 1-B (Record of Rights) is the "Identity Card" of the land.

Step 2: Check Adangal for "Quiet Possession"

Ownership doesn't always mean the seller has control of the land. The Adangal shows who is actually on the ground.

Step 3: Screen the 22-A Prohibited List

This is where most buyers lose their money. Prohibited lands (Section 22-A) cannot be registered.

Step 4: Verify the Digital Map (FMB)

Don't just look at the physical fence; look at the G-Map.

Step 5: Link Aadhaar to Prevent "Double Registration"

Fraudsters often try to sell the same land to two different people. Linking Aadhaar is your "Digital Shield."

What You See What It Means (Danger Level)
"Section 22-A" 🔴 Stop. The land is government-owned or prohibited from sale.
"Digitally Unsigned" 🟡 Caution. The record is not yet legally valid. The VRO must sign it.
"Court Dispute" 🔴 Stop. There is an active legal battle. Do not buy until cleared.
"Aadhaar Not Seeded" 🟡 Warning. Higher risk of identity fraud. Ask the seller to link it first.
